Presentation and communication of the project
The students explained the project clearly and with great confidence. They showed great use of visual aids to explain the project. I particularly enjoyed the mini-design of the chicken coop, which was expertly crafted.
Curiosity and creativity
The project showed strong curiosity and interest in the topic of chickens and animals as a method of fun and relaxation for students. The students chose a creative and very original idea. It was great to see how all the students clearly enjoyed the impact of the chickens.
Problem solving and constructive thinking
The students explained clearly the problems they faced throughout the journey, particularly with foxes and other animals. The installation of a fox alarm was a brilliant idea and showed their constructive thinking.
Quality of findings
They found that over 80% of students in the school would like to see more animals present on the school grounds, showing the positive impacts it has for them. They also showed that over 50% of students feel more relaxed after interacting with the chickens, clearly showing positive cause and effect.
Understanding of scientific and technological concepts
The students showed a good understanding of the basic science involved, how and why chickens lay eggs, and what these eggs can be used for.
Relevance and impact
The project is very relevant to real-life situations and everyday country life. The students enjoyed explaining how the project can help people and the environment in their school.
Any other feedback
