🎭✨🌟 SNB Connections Shine on the National Stage 🌟✨
🎉 A huge congratulations to all involved with Kilmeen Drama Group on their incredible success at the RTÉ All Ireland Drama Finals 2026! 🏆👏🎬 Amateur Drama Council of Ireland
We are especially proud of our wonderful teacher Laura Connolly, who was part of the award-winning production Ballyturk 🎭⭐ An incredible achievement — and surely a rare honour to hold both the One Act and Three Act All-Ireland titles at the same time! 🏆🥳🎭
The group enjoyed an incredible night of success and recognition, receiving multiple awards and accolades for their outstanding production 🏅🌟👏
We are very fortunate in SNB to have such a strong connection with Kilmeen Drama Group, with many of our staff having treaded the stage with the group over the past number of years, including Elaine Connolly, Eilish McSweeney, Noreen Collins and Laura Connolly 🎭✨ We are also lucky to have Nora Scannell supporting elocution work within the school 📚🗣️
This is a wonderful celebration of creativity, talent, teamwork and community spirit ❤️👏✨
Congratulations to everyone involved on bringing such an outstanding production to the national stage 🇮🇪🎭🌟

🎉🧡 AMAZING NEWS FOR SCOIL NA mBUACHAILLÍ! 🧡🎉
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Scoil na mBuachaillí has officially joined the Pieta Amber Flag community and has been awarded the 2025/2026 Pieta Amber Flag! 🌟
This is a hugely proud moment for our entire school community and a wonderful recognition of the positive, caring and supportive environment that exists in our school every day.
Throughout the year, our pupils and staff embraced a wide range of wellbeing initiatives and activities that promoted kindness, inclusion and positive conversations around mental health and emotional wellbeing. 🧡
We are also incredibly proud to have raised an amazing €795 for Pieta, helping to support the vital services they provide for children and young people across Ireland.
It feels especially fitting that we received this wonderful news on the same weekend that the people of Clonakilty came together in such huge numbers to support Darkness into Light Clonakilty — a powerful reminder of the strength, compassion and community spirit that exists all around us. 💛
This achievement simply would not have been possible without the enthusiasm, support and encouragement of our fantastic pupils, dedicated staff, supportive parents and wider school community.
THANK YOU to everyone who played a part in this special achievement 🎉

🌟 Junior Entrepreneur Project 2026 🌟
Our 5th Class pupils in Scoil na mBuachaillí are delighted to be taking part in the The Junior Entrepreneur Programme 2026!
The JEP gives pupils the opportunity to experience practical, real-life business learning in a fun and engaging way. Throughout the project, the boys are developing important skills such as creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making and confidence as they work together to create their own product or service from scratch.
Today, the boys took part in the exciting “Meet the Dragons” stage of the programme. Working in groups, they confidently presented their business ideas and pitches to our panel of Dragons:
🐣 Caroline Murphy – West Cork Eggs
🎶 Ray Blackwell – DeBarra's Folk Club
⭐ Ms Regina Fitzmaurice – Scoil na mBuachaillí
The Dragons asked thoughtful questions, offered valuable feedback and encouraged the pupils to think like real entrepreneurs. The boys should be extremely proud of the imagination, effort and enthusiasm they showed throughout their presentations.
A huge thank you to our 5th Class teachers, Ms Carol Ann O’Donovan and Mr Seán Daly, for their guidance, encouragement and support throughout the project so far.
