📢🧠 Exciting ESB Science Blast Announcement! 🧠📢 We are delighted to announce that Ms Hayes’s 4th Class has been accepted to present their project at Science Blast 2026 in the University of Limerick on May 20th! 👏🎉 At SNB, we are passionate about encouraging STEM learning and giving our pupils opportunities to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths through creative, hands-on learning experiences. 🚀 This year, the class is investigating the question: 🎵 Does music affect our brain power? 🎵 Through a series of exciting experiments, the pupils are exploring how music can affect memory, concentration, literacy and maths performance. They are working incredibly hard planning investigations, recording results, analysing data and creating impressive project displays. 📊🎶 We are especially proud that this project, which focuses on the importance of music in learning and school life, will now be showcased at Science Blast in UL next week. 🎼💙 A huge well done to Ms Hayes’s 4th Class — we are very proud of your enthusiasm, teamwork and scientific thinking! 👏 #ScienceBlast #STEM #FutureScientists #ScienceInAction #ScoilnamBuachailli #UL

🏃‍♂️ Active School Week – Day 3 ✨ Another action-packed day in Scoil na mBuachaillí Clonakilty with plenty of activity, fun and teamwork on display throughout the school day! 🙌💙 🚶 Walk on Wednesday got everyone moving and enjoying the fresh air. 🏐 The boys had great fun developing their skills during GAA with Conan. 🏆 We also got our Sciath na Scol campaign underway with a strong opening football win in Ahamilla. 🎾 Tennis sessions with Ms O’Keeffe, Mrs Connolly and Mr Carmody brought plenty of energy and excitement to the courts. It was fantastic to see such positivity, determination and teamwork from all the boys across every activity. Days like these show the importance of participation, friendship and enjoying sport together. 👏💪💙

🏐 Sciath na Scol Peil Roinn 1 Boys Competition 🏐 The Sciath na Scol Peil West Cork Roinn 1 Boys competition kicked off this week with four schools taking part: ⭐ St. Patrick’s Boys’ School, Skibbereen ⭐ Scoil Phádraig Naofa, Dunmanway ⭐ Scoil na mBuachaillí Clonakilty ⭐ Newcestown NS We got our Sciath na Scol campaign underway today with a strong opening win over Scoil Phádraig Naofa, Dunmanway in Ahamilla. 💪 The boys showed great teamwork, determination and skill throughout the match, working hard for one another from start to finish. Their effort and positive attitude were outstanding as we got our campaign underway. 👏💙 Many thanks to Scoil Phádraig Naofa for a great sporting game played in such excellent spirit. From powerful vocals and electric guitar solos to energetic drumbeats and DJ sets, every act is bringing its own unique style and personality to the stage. 🥁🎵 At SNB, we are proud to provide students with opportunities to shine both inside and outside the classroom. 🌟⚽🤸‍♀️ Day 2 of Active School Week was packed with energy, fun and teamwork! Our pupils loved the exciting soccer sessions with Klaaskickz ⚽👏 and had a fantastic time building confidence and skills during gymnastics with Aoife 🤸‍♀️✨ Smiles, movement and enthusiasm filled the school all day long! Huge thanks to all our coaches and staff for another brilliant day 🙌🌟 Roll on Day 3! 💪🎉 #ActiveSchoolWeek

💪🎉 Active School Week – Day 1! 🎉💪 We had a fantastic start to Active School Week today with lots of energy, fun, and movement throughout the school! Junior Infants to 2nd Class enjoyed exciting line dancing sessions with Ann Murphy, learning new steps and showing off some brilliant dance moves along the way 🤠🎶 Our senior pupils took part in energetic kickboxing sessions with Tony from West Cork Kickboxing Club, developing coordination, balance, fitness, and teamwork while learning lots of new skills 🥊 There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and fun throughout the day! A huge thank you to all of the instructors and staff who helped make Day 1 such a success. We are already looking forward to another active day tomorrow! 😊

✨ A Beautiful Surprise for Our Pupils! ✨ Our pupils arrived to a wonderful surprise this morning — a beautiful new mural painted by the talented artist Saeeda 🎨🌼 Featuring colourful flowers, butterflies, rolling hills, and a bright sunny sky, the artwork has brought lots of colour and joy to our school yard. We are so grateful to Saeeda for sharing her creativity and talent with our school community. The mural has already brought so many smiles and lots of excitement to the children 😊 A huge thank you to Saeeda for this wonderful addition to our school! 💛

🎭✨🌟 SNB Connections Shine on the National Stage 🌟✨ 🎉 A huge congratulations to all involved with Kilmeen Drama Group on their incredible success at the RTÉ All Ireland Drama Finals 2026! 🏆👏🎬 Amateur Drama Council of Ireland We are especially proud of our wonderful teacher Laura Connolly, who was part of the award-winning production Ballyturk 🎭⭐ An incredible achievement — and surely a rare honour to hold both the One Act and Three Act All-Ireland titles at the same time! 🏆🥳🎭 The group enjoyed an incredible night of success and recognition, receiving multiple awards and accolades for their outstanding production 🏅🌟👏 We are very fortunate in SNB to have such a strong connection with Kilmeen Drama Group, with many of our staff having treaded the stage with the group over the past number of years, including Elaine Connolly, Eilish McSweeney, Noreen Collins and Laura Connolly 🎭✨ We are also lucky to have Nora Scannell supporting elocution work within the school 📚🗣️ This is a wonderful celebration of creativity, talent, teamwork and community spirit ❤️👏✨ Congratulations to everyone involved on bringing such an outstanding production to the national stage 🇮🇪🎭🌟 #KilmeenDramaGroup #AllIrelandDramaFinals #ProudSchoolCommunity #SNBClonakilty
