🍳 Cooking Classes Underway in SNB! 🍰 We are delighted to share that a hands-on cookery course has begun in our school, led by Sharon Coleman, an experienced cookery instructor who delivers fun and interactive cooking sessions for all ages. The classes kicked off today with Junior Infants, 1st Class and 2nd Class, and the children had a fantastic time getting stuck in! These sessions are fully practical and designed to build children’s confidence and enjoyment in the kitchen. All ingredients, utensils, equipment and recipes are provided. Cooking is such an important life skill, and through these sessions pupils will learn how to: 🥄 follow a recipe ⚖️ weigh and measure ingredients 🍽️ prepare meals 🔥 use a range of cooking methods Each session includes the preparation of a healthy savoury dish as well as baking, giving pupils hands-on experience with a variety of techniques. 👩‍🍳 Every class in the school will receive at least two cooking sessions this term, and we are delighted to announce that this programme will become a regular feature in SNB, helping our pupils develop essential life skills in a fun and practical way.
🌐 Happy Safer Internet Day! 🌟 Today we celebrate the importance of staying safe, kind, and responsible online. 💻✨ At SNB, we’re encouraging all our pupils to: ✅ Think before they click ✅ Be respectful and kind online ✅ Protect personal information ✅ Speak up if something doesn’t feel right Let’s work together to make the internet a safer and more positive place for everyone. 💙 #SaferInternetDay #OnlineSafety #BeKindOnline #DigitalCitizenship
🥳We look forward to meeting you all tomorrow for a guided tour of our school at 1pm 🥰
Congratulations! 🥳
Best of Luck to our quiz teams taking part in the Clonakilty & Dunmanway Credit Union today ☺️

🎧✨ Podcasting is thriving at Scoil na mBuachaillí! ✨🎧 We are so proud of the rich tradition of podcasting in our school, and even more delighted to see it continuing to grow, evolve and inspire creativity across all classes. Podcasting gives our pupils a powerful platform to share their voices, ideas and stories in a fun, engaging and meaningful way. From planning and scripting to recording and presenting, pupils are building confidence while working collaboratively and creatively. 🎤🌟 Through podcasting, our pupils develop a wide range of important skills, including: ✅ Oral language & communication – speaking clearly and expressing ideas confidently ✅ Planning & teamwork – working together to structure exciting episodes ✅ Digital literacy – using technology responsibly and creatively ✅ Listening & reflection – thinking about audience, tone and content This fantastic work reflects Scoil na mBuachaillí’s strong commitment to creativity, innovation and digital learning, while giving pupils authentic opportunities to showcase their learning beyond the classroom. 💡📱 A huge thank you to Ms Niamh MacAuley for sharing her expertise and supporting pupils in developing these wonderful podcasting skills. 🙌🎙️ We can’t wait to share more of our pupils’ brilliant podcasting projects on our website and social media as this exciting journey continues! 🎧🚀 #ScoilnamBuachaillí #StudentVoice #Podcasting #CreativeLearning #DigitalInnovation #ProudSchoolCommunity
At Scoil na mBuachaillí, we believe kindness is just as important as learning 💛 This week, Ms Orla O’Keeffe, Alex & Malachy carried out a Random Act of Kindness, surprising members of our local community with bright yellow daffodils 🌼 With smiles and gentle words, they spread joy and reminded us how small acts can make a big difference.
