🎶A wonderful musical occasion was enjoyed recently in Bandon, where Kay O’Flynn’s talented musicians were given the opportunity to perform. The boys proudly represented Scoil na mBuachaillí outside of school, showcasing their musical talents through a lovely variety of instruments, including accordion, guitar, tin whistle and more. 🎶 Well done to all who took part, and sincere thanks to Kay for her continued dedication and encouragement of music in our school. 👏🎵

⚽ House Cup Action at Scoil na mBuachaillí! ⚽ Our much-loved House Cup is a monthly highlight in Scoil na mBuachaillí! Rang 3 take on Rang 4, while Rang 5 battle it out with Rang 6 in exciting and sporting contests — all played in our very own soccer yard. Expertly refereed by Mr. Seán Daly, the games are always eagerly anticipated and enthusiastically supported by pupils throughout the school. Plenty of skill, teamwork and school spirit on display each month! 👏⚽

🏟️ Croke Park Movement Breaks in Scoil na mBuachaillí! 🏃‍♀️⚽ All our pupils have been loving getting active as part of the Active Schools Croke Park Movement Breaks initiative 💪✨ — especially perfect for the rainy weather we’ve been having ☔🌧️ Each day, pupils enjoy a 🌍 virtual tour of a new area of Croke Park Stadium 🏟️ and take part in a fun 🤸‍♂️ movement break at that location! These daily activity breaks help to: ✅ boost fitness and energy ⚡ ✅ improve concentration and focus 📚 ✅ support physical and mental well-being 💙 ✅ bring lots of fun and excitement into the classroom 😄🎉 We are so proud to be an Active School 🏅 and to promote healthy habits for life through initiatives like this 🌟 #crokeparkmovementbreaks @active_school_flag 💙🏃‍♂️🏟️

🍳 Cooking Classes Underway in SNB! 🍰 We are delighted to share that a hands-on cookery course has begun in our school, led by Sharon Coleman, an experienced cookery instructor who delivers fun and interactive cooking sessions for all ages. The classes kicked off today with Junior Infants, 1st Class and 2nd Class, and the children had a fantastic time getting stuck in! These sessions are fully practical and designed to build children’s confidence and enjoyment in the kitchen. All ingredients, utensils, equipment and recipes are provided. Cooking is such an important life skill, and through these sessions pupils will learn how to: 🥄 follow a recipe ⚖️ weigh and measure ingredients 🍽️ prepare meals 🔥 use a range of cooking methods Each session includes the preparation of a healthy savoury dish as well as baking, giving pupils hands-on experience with a variety of techniques. 👩‍🍳 Every class in the school will receive at least two cooking sessions this term, and we are delighted to announce that this programme will become a regular feature in SNB, helping our pupils develop essential life skills in a fun and practical way.
