🎧✨ Podcasting is thriving at Scoil na mBuachaillí! ✨🎧
We are so proud of the rich tradition of podcasting in our school, and even more delighted to see it continuing to grow, evolve and inspire creativity across all classes.
Podcasting gives our pupils a powerful platform to share their voices, ideas and stories in a fun, engaging and meaningful way. From planning and scripting to recording and presenting, pupils are building confidence while working collaboratively and creatively. 🎤🌟
Through podcasting, our pupils develop a wide range of important skills, including:
✅ Oral language & communication – speaking clearly and expressing ideas confidently
✅ Planning & teamwork – working together to structure exciting episodes
✅ Digital literacy – using technology responsibly and creatively
✅ Listening & reflection – thinking about audience, tone and content
This fantastic work reflects Scoil na mBuachaillí’s strong commitment to creativity, innovation and digital learning, while giving pupils authentic opportunities to showcase their learning beyond the classroom. 💡📱
A huge thank you to Ms Niamh MacAuley for sharing her expertise and supporting pupils in developing these wonderful podcasting skills. 🙌🎙️
We can’t wait to share more of our pupils’ brilliant podcasting projects on our website and social media as this exciting journey continues! 🎧🚀

At Scoil na mBuachaillí, we believe kindness is just as important as learning 💛
This week, Ms Orla O’Keeffe, Alex & Malachy carried out a Random Act of Kindness, surprising members of our local community with bright yellow daffodils 🌼
With smiles and gentle words, they spread joy and reminded us how small acts can make a big difference. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and Ms O’Keeffe for sharing kindness, empathy and community spirit 🌞

🌼 St Brigid’s Day – Lá Fhéile Bríde 🌼
Today is St Brigid’s Day, marking the start of spring and celebrating St Brigid, who represents kindness, generosity, creativity and care for others.
Last week, the children learned about St Brigid and her cloak, explored the history of her life, and finished the celebrations by making St Brigid’s Crosses, symbolising protection and new beginnings.
A lovely celebration of Irish culture and values 🌿

🎱 Earning Pool Privileges 🎱
Our boys work hard to earn their pool time, and it has proven to be a really positive and motivating experience. Pool time isn’t just a reward — it’s something they earn through effort, positive behaviour, and making good choices.
As well as being great fun, playing pool has many benefits. It helps develop focus, patience, strategic thinking, and social skills such as turn-taking and sportsmanship. It also provides a calm, enjoyable space where the boys can relax and connect in a positive way.
Well done to all the boys who earned their pool time — a great example of hard work being rewarded 👏🎱
