Sunshine, Science & Smiles in Junior Infants! ☀️🦋💧
Junior Infants had a wonderful week full of hands-on learning, outdoor exploration and fun activities.
They made the most of the sunshine with a lovely walk to Bushmount, where they enjoyed exploring the outdoor environment, discovering nature and spending time together outside.
Back in the classroom, the children have been learning all about the life cycle of the butterfly. They enjoyed creating beautiful butterfly artwork and taking part in sequencing activities to help them understand each stage of the butterfly’s journey.
Outdoor free play was also a huge hit this week. The children had great fun playing with vehicles, sand and water. They explored capacity, floating and sinking, and even made ice before experimenting with it using water of different temperatures.
Our Infant classrooms are lucky to have their own dedicated courtyard space, complete with climbing walls 🧗♂️, play equipment and an astro area —the perfect place for active play and exploration!
It was a fantastic week of curiosity, creativity and discovery for Junior Infants!
