Sixth Class Graduation Ceremony 2026
On Friday, 19th June 2026, the Scoil na mBuachaillí community gathered to celebrate a very special milestone as we marked the graduation of our Sixth Class pupils.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from Ms Elaine Connolly. This was followed by a beautiful Graduation Mass, during which pupils, parents, staff and guests came together to give thanks for the pupils' years in primary school and to wish them well as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.
The pupils themselves took centre stage throughout the Mass, leading the congregation through their singing, readings, prayers, and presentation of gifts. Their confidence, reverence, and participation made the celebration particularly meaningful and reflected the many talents they have developed during their time in Scoil na mBuachaillí.
Following the Mass, the pupils once again took centre stage as they expressed their gratitude to those who have supported them throughout their time in Scoil na mBuachaillí. Heartfelt tributes were paid to Mrs Minihan, our dedicated SNAs, Noreen and Finbarr, all of whom have played an important role in the lives of our pupils.
We were delighted to hear from Noel White, who shared words of encouragement and good wishes with the graduating class.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was a moving poem, When You Thought I Wasn't Looking, which was read by the Sixth Class pupils for their parents. The poem served as a touching reminder of the profound influence parents have on their children's lives and development.
The pupils also took the opportunity to thank their teachers, Ms Fitzmaurice and Mrs Harte, for their guidance, support and encouragement throughout their years in primary school.
A special slideshow, Through the Years, brought smiles, laughter and a few tears as pupils, parents and staff reflected on the many memories created during their time in Scoil na mBuachaillí.
Mr Daly and Ms MacAuley then addressed the gathering, sharing words of praise and reflection on the achievements, growth and character of this wonderful group of young people.
The presentation of graduation certificates by Mr Daly and Ms MacAuley marked the formal recognition of the pupils' completion of their primary education and was a proud moment for all involved.
The ceremony concluded with a final presentation from Sixth Class, including a rendition of After All.
