Senior Infants and 1st Class had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful grounds of Bushmount, Clonakilty this week as part of their autumn nature walk. With the season changing all around us, the children set off in search of signs of autumn — and they weren’t disappointed!
They spotted colourful leaves in shades of red, orange, and yellow and berries growing on the bushes. The children enjoyed collecting leaves, acorns, and other natural treasures to examine back in the classroom.
This hands-on learning experience helped bring their seasonal lessons to life, encouraging curiosity, observation skills, and a love of the outdoors. A big thank you to Bushmount for allowing us to explore such a lovely natural setting!
