Senior Infant School Tour June 2026

15th Jun 2026

Our Senior Infants enjoyed a fantastic school tour to the Skibbereen Sports & Fitness Centre.

The excitement began as the children boarded the bus, eager for a day of fun and adventure. On arrival, they received a warm welcome before taking part in a variety of energetic activities both indoors and outdoors.

The children had great fun bouncing, climbing and sliding on the giant inflatable obstacle courses and bouncy castles. There were plenty of smiles and laughter as they raced their friends along the inflatable track and tackled the climbing challenges. Inside the sports hall, the children also completed agility courses, jumping games and movement activities that tested their balance, coordination and teamwork.

Outside on the all-weather pitch, the boys enjoyed a range of fun sports stations. They practised their football skills, bounced along on space hoppers, experimented with hula hoops and worked together using catching and balancing equipment. The outdoor facilities gave everyone plenty of space to run, play and explore.

One of the highlights of the day was spending time with friends, encouraging one another and celebrating each other's achievements. The children showed wonderful enthusiasm, kindness and cooperation throughout all of the activities.

After a busy day filled with exercise, adventure and fun, everyone returned to school tired but happy, with lots of stories to share about their favourite moments. It was a memorable school tour and a wonderful experience for all of our Senior Infants.

A special thank you to Michelle O'Neill for organising the tour and to Niamh Whelton and Eileen Breen O'Riordan for their help and support throughout the day.

We would also like to thank the staff at Skibbereen Sports & Fitness Centre for providing such an enjoyable and action-packed day for our pupils.
