Scoilavision 2026
A much-loved tradition in Scoil na mBuachaillí took centre stage once again on 10th June 2026 as the school hall came alive for another unforgettable Scoilavision. This annual celebration of music, performance, creativity and teamwork showcased the incredible talents of boys from 3rd to 6th Class, who spent months preparing for their moment in the spotlight.
The evening featured a fantastic line-up of bands, singers and performers, including 3 Realm, Fireball, SNB Boys, The Brochachos, The Tankers, Quickstrike, The Spuds, Crossfire and Luke Warm Chili Peppers. The audience was treated to an evening of music, entertainment and plenty of rock-and-roll spirit.
Scoilavision is about much more than the performers on stage. Behind the scenes, dedicated teams of pupils worked as producers, sound engineers, lighting technicians, front-of-house and backstage crew, ensuring that every aspect of the production ran smoothly. Their hard work, creativity and commitment demonstrated the wonderful teamwork and leadership that make this event such a special part of school life.
A very special word of thanks must go to Ms Regina Fitzmaurice, whose vision, dedication and tireless commitment are at the heart of Scoilavision. For months she coordinated rehearsals, organised performers and bands, managed schedules, supported pupils, and oversaw countless details behind the scenes to ensure that every act had the opportunity to shine. Her ability to inspire confidence in the boys while bringing together performers, crews and staff makes this event possible, and the entire school community is deeply grateful for the enormous time and energy she invests in creating such a memorable experience for everyone involved.
The success of Scoilavision is also a testament to the dedication and generosity of our staff, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the evening such a memorable occasion. From the backstage and green room teams to those welcoming guests at the door, organising the raffle, supporting performers and ensuring every detail ran smoothly, their commitment and teamwork helped create a truly special night for all. Their willingness to give their time and talents so generously is deeply appreciated by the entire school community.
A special word of thanks goes to Noreen Minihan, whose loyalty and commitment to Scoil na mBuachaillí are second to none. Noreen once again generously gave of her time to MC the raffle, bringing her trademark warmth, good humour and enthusiasm to the occasion. Her unwavering support of the school over many years is deeply appreciated, and her contribution added greatly to the atmosphere and enjoyment of the night.
Finally, a very special mention must be made of Noreen Collins, whose incredible effort, dedication and hard work were instrumental in making Scoilavision 2026 the outstanding success that it was. From planning and preparation to ensuring everything ran seamlessly on the night, Noreen's commitment went above and beyond. The entire school community is enormously grateful for the countless hours and effort she invested in making this cherished tradition such a memorable experience for our boys and their families.
A really special word of appreciation must also go to our wonderful Parent Band, who brought such energy, talent and community spirit to the evening. Organised by Niall Moynihan, the band added something truly memorable to Scoilavision 2026. Niall was ably joined by Jennifer Fitzgerald, Faelan Herriott, Paul Eloff, Sebastien Revon, Marie Hayes, Ray Blackwell and Colm Carroll, all of whom gave so generously of their time and talents. Their performance was a fantastic reminder of the strong partnership between home and school, and of the incredible goodwill that exists within the Scoil na mBuachaillí community.
The event also highlighted the strong sense of community that exists within Scoil na mBuachaillí, with staff, pupils, families and friends of the school coming together to celebrate the boys' achievements. A raffle in aid of Clonakilty First Responders added a charitable element to the evening and proved to be a tremendous success. A provisional amount of approximately €1,500 was raised, thanks to the incredible generosity of our school and local community. We were overwhelmed by the support received, with an outstanding array of prizes donated by local businesses, families and friends of the school. This remarkable generosity not only added greatly to the excitement of the evening but also ensured the success of the fundraiser. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who donated prizes, purchased tickets and supported the raffle so enthusiastically.
Scoilavision 2026 was another resounding success and a fitting continuation of one of Scoil na mBuachaillí's proudest traditions—an evening where talent shines, confidence grows, friendships flourish and memories are made. The excitement, teamwork and school spirit on display throughout the night were a wonderful reminder of what makes our school community so special.
