Today was a very special day for Scoil na mBuachaillí as we proudly received our 8th Green Flag at the An Taisce Green-Schools Awards Ceremony in Fota Wildlife Park 🌍💚🎉
This year’s award recognises our work on the theme of Global Citizenship – Marine Environment 🌊♻️ and celebrates the fantastic efforts of our pupils, staff and wider school community in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness throughout our school.
We are incredibly proud of our dedicated Green-Schools Committee and all they have achieved. A special congratulations to Jack Rea and Daniel Dempsey, who attended the awards ceremony alongside Ms. MacAuley and Ms. O’Shea to proudly represent our school. As long-standing and hardworking members of our Green-Schools Committee, they were chosen to attend on behalf of the pupils. 👏
A special thank you and congratulations also to our Green-Schools Coordinator, Ms. Niamh MacAuley, for her outstanding dedication and leadership in guiding the programme in Scoil na mBuachaillí.
Well done to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement. We look forward to continuing our Green-Schools journey and working towards the remaining themes in the years ahead 🌱🌎💚
