We are proud to announce that Scoil na mBuachaillí has joined the Pieta Amber Flag community and has been awarded the 2025/2026 Pieta Amber Flag in recognition of our commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing throughout our school community.
The Pieta Amber Flag Initiative recognises schools and organisations that work hard to create inclusive, supportive and healthy environments where wellbeing is valued and openly discussed. This award reflects the caring and supportive atmosphere that exists every day in Scoil na mBuachaillí.
Throughout the year, a range of engaging initiatives and activities encouraged kindness, inclusion and open conversations around mental health, helping to foster a positive and supportive atmosphere throughout our school community.
We are also very proud of our recent fundraiser for Pieta, which raised an incredible €795 in support of Pieta’s vital clinical services for children and young people across Ireland.
This achievement would not have been possible without the support of our pupils, staff, parents and wider school community. Thank you to everyone who took part, supported our events and helped make wellbeing such an important part of school life in Scoil na mBuachaillí.
As we move forward, we hope to continue building awareness around mental health and emotional wellbeing while encouraging open and positive conversations throughout our school community.
