The Sciath na Scol Peil West Cork Roinn 1 Boys competition got underway this week with great excitement and excellent football on display. The competition features four schools competing in 15-a-side matches, with games consisting of 20 minutes per half. The top two teams will progress to the final.
Participating schools are:
- St. Patrick’s Boys’ School, Skibbereen
- Scoil Phádraig Naofa, Dunmanway
- Scoil na mBuachaillí Clonakilty
- Newcestown NS
We made a fantastic start to the competition on Wednesday, May 13th, with an impressive win over Scoil Phádraig Naofa, Dunmanway in Ahamilla. From the first whistle, we showed great energy, teamwork and determination, with the boys working tirelessly for each other all over the pitch. Their skill, effort and positive attitude were evident throughout the game as we secured a brilliant opening victory to kick off our Sciath na Scol campaign in style.
