Our Nearest Neighbour: Clonakilty Playground 🎢🌳

One of the biggest perks of Scoil na mBuachaillí life? Clonakilty Playground is right next door! That means more chances for fresh air, big smiles, and lots of movement — and we make the most of it whenever we can.

The playground is where pupils climb high, swing fast, balance carefully, run freely, and laugh loudly. It might look like “just fun” (and it definitely is!), but all that play is doing great things too. Stronger bodies, better balance, improved coordination, and growing confidence all happen naturally while the children are busy enjoying themselves.

The playground is a real winner. Swings help children slow down and reset, climbing builds strong bodies, and balancing equipment helps with focus — all while the children are simply busy having fun. After time in the playground, pupils often head back to class happier, calmer, and ready to learn.

Most of all, the playground is a happy place. It’s where friendships grow, imaginations run wild, and learning sneaks in without anyone even noticing. We’re so lucky to have Clonakilty Playground as our nearest neighbour!
