Well done and congratulations to our Sciath na Scol hurling team on an outstanding performance in this year’s competition!
This is only the second year of the West Cork Hurling Sciath na Scol, and we are so proud of how far our team has come. Scoil na mBuachaillí began in Roinn (Division) 2 last year, and through hard work, determination, and teamwork, progressed to compete in Roinn 1 this year.
Following impressive wins in September against Gaelscoil Mhichíl Uí Choileáin and Laragh NS, the team travelled to Ahamilla for the semi-final, where they played a thrilling match against Newcestown NS. After a superb battle, SNB emerged victorious and advanced to the Roinn 1 final against Timoleague NS.
The boys showed exceptional skill, teamwork, and spirit throughout the final. While Timoleague NS claimed the Cup, our players can be very proud of their achievement — competing at the highest level and representing our school with pride.
A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches — Ms Marie Forristal, Mr Ciarán Crowley, and Mr Seán Daly — for their time, guidance, and encouragement.
