🚸 The Last Warden Team for 2025/2026 Trained at Scoil na mBuachaillí
The final School Warden team of the year has now been trained, continuing a proud tradition of over fifty years at Scoil na mBuachaillí. The School Warden Programme plays a vital role in promoting safety, responsibility, and community spirit among our pupils.
Each year, retired Garda Chris Hinchy provides expert training for teams of 5th and 6th Class boys, teaching them about road safety, awareness, teamwork, and communication. Their job is to ensure that pupils, parents, and staff cross safely at the end of each school day — an important duty they carry out with great care and pride.
Being selected as a school warden is considered a special honour, reflecting the trust and respect the boys have earned from teachers and peers. The programme helps develop leadership, reliability, and civic-mindedness, while strengthening the bond between the school and the wider community.
For more than five decades, the School Warden Programme has been an important part of life at Scoil na mBuachaillí — a lasting reminder that safety, service, and responsibility go hand in hand. 🚦👏
