Rang 7 at Scoil na mBuachaillí have been making sustainability part of their weekly routine by visiting our local Centra store to recycle bottles and cans through Ireland’s Re-turn Deposit Return Scheme.
Each week, pupils collect bottles and cans from around the school and at home, bringing them to Centra to return and recycle responsibly. Through the Re-turn scheme, they not only help the environment by keeping materials out of landfill — they also learn about the importance of reducing waste and embracing the circular economy. 🌍💚
As an added bonus, Rang 7 have been putting their returned deposits to fun use — saving up for a small weekly treat as a reward for their recycling efforts! 🍎🍪
This simple but meaningful activity has helped students see the real-life impact of recycling and how small actions can make a big difference. Well done, Rang 7 — you’re setting a great example for the whole school community! 🙌♻️
