Spring has truly arrived, and our gorgeous hens are making the most of their Easter holidays out in the fresh air!
The girls are currently on their holidays with a Grandad, and they’re certainly enjoying every minute of it. From exploring the grass and pecking around to the occasional flutter and hop, they’ve been full of personality and energy.
As a school community, we feel so lucky and truly grateful that we have a Grandad taking such wonderful care of our hens over Easter. His kindness and support mean so much to us, and it gives us great comfort knowing the hens are in such safe and caring hands.
It really shows what a warm and caring school SNB is, where such kindness and community spirit are all around us.
We would also like to say that the hens—and indeed Noreen, Finbarr and all the staff—have earned and deserved this lovely Easter break!
It’s lovely to see them with so much space to roam, enjoying the fresh air and all the attention they are receiving. A happy hen makes for a healthy hen—and these ladies are certainly thriving!
