🎄🎶 Spreading Christmas Cheer 🎶🎄 As part of our Christmas celebrations, the SNB boys visited Care Choice Clonakilty, Clonakilty Day Care Centre, and Bushmount Nursing Home to share the joy of music and song. Their Christmas performances were warmly received, bringing smiles and festive cheer to residents and staff alike. The boys represented the school with great pride and we sincerely thank all the staff and residents for their warm welcome (and the treats!), as well as the staff who supported the visits. Well done to the SNB boys for spreading Christmas cheer in our community! 🎶🎄👏
Incredible photos, thanks Fr. Tom

A proud moment for Clonakilty! I Love Clonakilty Clonakilty Notice Board
🎄✨ Junior Infants – The Big Little Nativity ✨🎄 Just 5 years old and already stealing the show ⭐ Our Junior Infants performed confidently in front of a packed hall with sound and lighting 🌟🎤 What made the performance even more special was the confidence and bravery shown by the children as they took to the stage with such pride. With beautiful singing 🎶, colourful costumes 👼 and lots of smiles, they performed The Big Little Nativity wonderfully. A big thank you to Ms Mary Horgan, Samantha Aerts and the support teachers, and to all the families who came along to support ❤️ Well done to our fantastic Junior Infants — a truly special start to our Christmas celebrations! 🎄✨
🎄✨ Senior Infants – Ralph the Reindeer ✨🎄 Our school was full of festive excitement as the Senior Infants performed their Christmas show, Ralph the Reindeer. The children gave a fun and lively performance, telling the story of how Rudolf had a cold and Ralph the Reindeer stepped in to help Santa. With songs, actions and spoken parts, they performed with great confidence and enthusiasm. A big thank you to Ms O’Neill, Niamh Whelton and the support teachers, and to all the families who came along to support the children. Well done to our Senior Infants on a fantastic Christmas performance! 🎶🎄🦌
🎭✨ Hosanna Rock – A Wonderful School Performance ✨🎭 Our pupils from 2nd to 6th class gave a fantastic performance of Hosanna Rock in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty Parish. It was a joyful and moving retelling of the Nativity, filled with energy, confidence and school spirit. The children delivered outstanding performances, with amazing singing and colourful costumes that truly brought the story to life. We are incredibly proud of all involved. A huge well done to our Sound Crew, managed by Ms Regina Fitzmaurice, for ensuring everything ran smoothly. The support and presence of John Fitzgerald helped make the performance a truly professional affair. Our sincere thanks to Fr Tom Hayes for kindly allowing us the use of the church, which provided a perfect and very special setting for this Nativity performance. This was a whole-school effort, and we would like to thank all our staff—class teachers, SNAs and everyone working behind the scenes. The work carried out in the lead-up to the event cannot be underestimated and was vital in ensuring the day ran smoothly and that both children and teachers were fully supported. A very special thank you to Mrs Elaine Connolly, whose dedication and vision directed the show and made this wonderful performance possible. 👏 Well done to everyone involved – a proud moment for our school community! 🌟 👉✨ Please check out the school website at www.snbclonakilty.com for many more photos 📸 and videos 🎥 of this very special occasion 🌟
All Welcome! Clonakilty Parish
🌱♻️ Composting & Sustainability in Our School We are delighted to be successfully taking part in the Cork County Council Composting & Recycling for Schools Programme. As part of this fully funded initiative, delivered by Composting Ireland, Donal from Waste Down visited our school on Friday, December 12th to install our new wormery and leaf mould composter. While we are fully immersed in preparing for our Christmas performances, we will always make time for our sustainability projects, which remain a vital part of daily life and learning in our school. We are so lucky to have the facilities in our school to support these additions. Our wormery is perfectly located beside our school garden, greenhouse, and outdoor sink, while our leaf mould composter is located near our popular Green-Schools bike shed, wild green area, and chicken coop. These locations allow pupils to engage in hands-on, outdoor learning every day. This programme helps pupils learn about composting, recycling, biodiversity, and caring for our environment in a practical and meaningful way. A huge thank you to Ms Regina Fitzmaurice, Ms Niamh Mac Auley, and Ms Marie Forristal for their fantastic engagement and commitment to this programme, and to Donal, Composting Ireland, and Cork County Council for their continued support. 🌍💚
