💙🎶 You know you've done a great job when your 6th Class pupils can organise and perform something like this after deciding to do it just one day before! 👏⭐ Here is our amazing 6th Class performing "After All" by The Frank and Walters. 🎤🎸🎵 What a talented group of pupils! 💙✨🌟👏🎶
💙 Best Wishes to Mrs Elaine Connolly 💙 Today marked a very special occasion as Mrs Elaine Connolly begins her retirement after 34 years of dedicated service to Scoil na mBuachaillí. A memorable moment took place when pupils and staff formed a guard of honour as Mrs Connolly walked through the school for the final time. It was a fitting tribute to a much-loved colleague who has touched the lives of generations of pupils and families through her kindness, care and dedication. Mrs Connolly has made an enormous contribution to our school community throughout her career and leaves behind a lasting legacy of professionalism, compassion and commitment to children. On behalf of the pupils, staff, Board of Management and wider school community, we thank Mrs Connolly for her outstanding service and wish her every happiness, good health and enjoyment in this new chapter of her life. Congratulations on a long, successful and well-deserved retirement, Mrs Connolly. 🌸
🌊🎉 6th Class Celebrate Their Final Day at SNB 🎉🌊 Our 6th Class pupils enjoyed a fantastic final day at SNB with a trip to Inchydoney Beach. The day was filled with fun, friendship and lasting memories as they celebrated the end of their primary school journey. The outing also marked their final surfing lesson, a wonderful way to finish a year of learning new skills and building confidence in the water. A special thank you to our Parents Association for organising a fantastic party with food and refreshments, helping to make the day even more memorable for the children. We are incredibly proud of our 6th Class pupils and wish them every success and happiness as they begin the next chapter in secondary school. Congratulations, 6th Class! 🎓
🐻🧺 Senior Infants Teddy Bears’ Picnic 🧺🐻 Our Senior Infants had the most wonderful day at their Teddy Bears’ Picnic! 💛 The children arrived at school with their favourite teddy bears and were so excited to introduce them to their friends. There were lots of smiles, laughter, games, songs, and stories shared throughout the day as the children and their cuddly companions enjoyed a very special picnic together. It was lovely to see the wide variety of teddy bears that came to school, each with its own unique story. The children took great pride in caring for their teddies and making sure they had a fantastic day! A huge thank you to Ms O'Neill for organising such a lovely occasion and creating such special memories for the children. 🥰 📸 Take a look at some of the highlights from our bear-y wonderful day! #TeddyBearsPicnic #SeniorInfants #MakingMemories #SchoolLife #HappyDays 🐻☀️🧺💛
✨Sixth Class Graduation Ceremony 2026✨ Today we gathered as a school community to celebrate the graduation of our wonderful Sixth Class pupils. 💙💛 ⛪ The ceremony began with a beautiful Graduation Mass where the pupils themselves took centre stage, leading the congregation through singing, readings, prayers and the presentation of gifts. Their confidence, reverence and participation made the celebration truly special. 👏 Following the Mass, the boys expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the many people who have supported them throughout their years in Scoil na mBuachaillí, including their teachers, SNAs, Noreen and Finbarr. ❤️ A particularly moving moment was the reading of the poem "When You Thought I Wasn't Looking" dedicated to their parents. 🎤 We were delighted to hear words of encouragement from Noel White, while 📸 a slideshow of memories through the years brought plenty of smiles, laughter and a few tears as we reflected on the journey from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. 🎓 Mr Daly and Ms MacAuley shared warm tributes to the class before presenting the boys with their graduation certificates. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt performance of 🎶 After All. 🌟 We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Sixth Class pupils. Thank you for the memories, the laughter and the contribution you have made to school life. 🍀 We wish you every success, happiness and friendship as you begin the next chapter of your educational journey. Go n-éirí an bóthar libh, Rang a Sé 2026! 💙💛🎓
💙 Supporting Our Community 💙 Following the tremendous success of our recent Scoilavision, we were delighted to present a cheque for €1,565 to Noel White of the Clonakilty Area Community First Responders Group. The funds were raised through the raffle held on the night, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, and supported the event so generously. Pictured are Norma Harte, Principal, and Regina Fitzmaurice, Deputy Principal, presenting the cheque to Noel White. The Clonakilty Area Community First Responders Group provides a vital service in our community, and we are proud that Scoilavision could help support their invaluable work. A sincere thank you to our school community for once again demonstrating such generosity and community spirit. Together, we can make a real difference.

Our Junior Infants had a fantastic school tour to Top of the Rock in Drimoleague, where they enjoyed meeting animals, exploring the farm and taking part in fun outdoor activities. It was a wonderful day of learning, friendship and happy memories. Many thanks to the team at Top of the Rock, to Mary Horgan for organising the trip, and to Samantha Aerts, Eilish McSweeney, Karen O’Regan and Niamh O’Donovan for accompanying the class. 🌿🐑🚜😊
🌊🏄‍♂️ 6th Class Surfing Adventure – Day 3 of 4! 🏄‍♀️🌊 Our 6th Class pupils enjoyed their third surfing session with Inchydoney Surf School today, and what a fantastic experience it has been so far! Over the past three sessions, the children have grown in confidence, developed their surfing skills, and had great fun out on the waves. It has been wonderful to see their determination, resilience, and enthusiasm as they embrace this exciting challenge. We are so lucky to have Inchydoney Beach and Inchydoney Surf School right on our doorstep. Opportunities like this allow our pupils to enjoy the natural beauty of West Cork while learning new skills and creating lasting memories with their classmates. There is still one more session to go! The pupils will return for their fourth and final surf lesson on their very last day in SNB – a perfect way to celebrate the end of their primary school journey. A huge thank you to the team at Inchydoney Surf School for making this such a positive and memorable experience for our pupils. #SNBClonakilty #6thClass #SchoolTour #InchydoneySurfSchool #WestCork #MakingMemories 🌊☀️
