Young Scientist Primary Science Fair – Tomorrow!
Tomorrow is an exciting day for Scoil na mBuachaillí as we travel to the RDS in Dublin to take part in the Primary Science Fair at the Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. This marks a first for Scoil na mBuachaillí, as it is the first time our school will present a project at the Young Scientist exhibition.
The boys will be presenting their project, which began with the question “Do chickens add to the wellbeing of our school?” and, following extensive research and overwhelmingly positive findings, evolved into the title “Life Is Better with Chickens.”
As part of the project, the pupils carried out parent, pupil, and student surveys, analysed the results, and presented their learning through PowerPoint presentations and videos. A huge amount of effort also went into preparing the exhibition display, including artwork, models of the chicken coop, and a variety of visual materials showcasing the boys’ creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to represent Scoil na mBuachaillí at a national event.
A special thank you to Ms. Kathryn O’Shea, who coordinated the project and worked tirelessly with the boys throughout the process.
We wish the boys the very best of luck tomorrow and are extremely proud of all the hard work and dedication they have shown.
