What an incredible week of activity, fun and teamwork we have enjoyed during Active School Week in Scoil na mBuachaillí Clonakilty! 🙌💙 From dancing and gymnastics to athletics, rugby, soccer, tennis and much more, the boys embraced every opportunity to get active, try new skills and work together throughout the week.
💃 Day 1 got off to a fantastic start with line dancing sessions for Junior Infants to 2nd Class with Ann Murphy, while senior pupils enjoyed energetic kickboxing sessions with Tony from West Cork Kickboxing.
⚽🤸♀️ Day 2 brought exciting soccer coaching sessions with Klaaskickz along with wonderful gymnastics lessons with Aoife, where the boys developed confidence, balance and coordination in a fun and supportive environment.
🚶🏐🎾 Day 3 was full of energy with Walk on Wednesday, GAA coaching with Conan, tennis sessions with Ms O’Keeffe, Mrs Connolly and Mr Carmody, and a fantastic opening win in our Sciath na Scol football campaign in Ahamilla.
🏃🏉 Day 4 saw the boys giving a huge effort during Running Track Workouts with Ms Horgan, while 5th Class represented the school brilliantly at a Tag Rugby Blitz in Bandon Grammar School. Pupils from 1st–4th Class also thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Cork Sports Partnership Primary School Athletics Blitz in Rosscarbery.
🏃♂️⚽ Day 5 finished the week on a high with Morning Workouts with Ms Horgan and fantastic soccer coaching sessions organised by the Parents’ Association. A huge thank you to Mark Griffin, Donal Morley, David Gilbert, Nick Harrison and Jozef Haspala for giving their time and expertise throughout the day.
👏 A very special thank you to Mr Seán Daly for organising such an incredible Active School Week and for coordinating our Active Flag renewal journey. His hard work, enthusiasm and dedication ensured the boys had an unforgettable week filled with activity, positivity and school spirit.
A huge thank you also to all of our coaches, instructors, staff, parents and volunteers who helped make the week such a success. It has been wonderful to see the boys showing such enthusiasm, teamwork, encouragement and enjoyment in every activity.
