Today, pupils from Ms Hayes' and Ms O'Donovan's 4th Classes enjoyed a visit to the ARC (Aquaculture Remote Classroom), currently located outside the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine offices in Clonakilty.
The ARC is a mobile classroom developed by Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) to raise awareness of Irish aquaculture and sustainable seafood production. During the interactive workshop, pupils learned about the origins of seafood, the importance of aquaculture in Ireland, and how it contributes to healthy food production and environmental sustainability.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the engaging activities and presentations delivered by the ARC team and gained valuable insights into Ireland's marine industry. It was a fun and educational experience for all involved.
