We were delighted to receive 20 native trees from Cork County Council as part of National Tree Week.
The varieties included:
- Common Alder
- Common Birch
- Pedunculate Oak
- Scots Pine
To make the most of this wonderful opportunity, we decided on the following:
🌿 10 trees were donated to the local Tidy Towns Committee to support their fantastic work in our community.
🌿 1 tree was planted here at our school.
🌿 The remaining 9 trees were raffled among boys in 6th class who wished to plant a tree at home.
This was a great opportunity for our pupils to take part in caring for the environment and to contribute to biodiversity in our local area.
