Meet the Dragons 2025
Last week, our budding entrepreneurs were busily preparing their pitches for our “Meet the Dragons” session on Friday May 9th.
Rang a 5 have been progressing through the Junior Entrepreneur Programme, showing commitment and enthusiasm.
Thank You to our judges Caroline Murphy, Ray Blackwell and Ka Fotz.
"Last Friday the 9th of May, the dragons came to our school to see our Junior Entrepreneur pitches. The
dragons were Caroline Murphy owner of West Cork Eggs, Ray Blackwell owner of De Barras and Kate
Fitzgerald owner of The Loft Gallery. 4 th Class came with us to see our ideas. Everyone in 5 th Class who
were showing the product ideas to the dragons were really excited
We started with See Through Candle. Their product idea was to melt down the candles and then put
either lavender or fruit into the wax to make it smell extremely nice. The next group to go up was Clon
Clay and their pitch was to make clay bowls and then paint them in and do cool designs. Then Clon Soap
went up. They crafted handmade soap that smelled lovely. Next up was Ink and Print. They drew cool
posters and bookmarks like cars and motorbikes. Then there was Key to SnB, they made key chains with
cool designs like flags, sports and cars. Next was scented shapes they made car fresheners using
felt, essential oil and ribbon. Last but not least was Super Stopper which are door stoppers made of high
quality wood and paint markers and were the winners of JEP. Kate, Ray and Caroline gave some very
positive feedback.
After lunch we went to Centra as a reward from Kate for all our hard work. We are looking forward to
making and selling our product Super Stoppers!!" by Ben Eady and Aaron Nash
