🍕🎉 Pizza Party Fun in Rang 7 🎉🍕 There was great excitement in Rang 7 as the pupils enjoyed a very special pizza party on Friday! 🍕😊 The classroom was full of smiles as everyone sat down together to enjoy a tasty treat and a relaxed, happy time with friends. The children were very involved in the experience, helping to make their own pizzas 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🍕 It was a lovely opportunity to practise practical skills, follow instructions, and work together in a calm and supportive environment 🌟🤝 It was a lovely end to a busy week, with lots of enjoyment, laughter, and of course, delicious pizza enjoyed by all! 😄🍕
🥞❄️ Winter Warm Up for Rang 2 ❄️🥞 Rang 2 enjoyed a lovely winter warm-up on Friday thanks to the kindness of Ms. Karen O’Regan, who treated the boys in 2nd Class to some delicious winter warmer pancakes 🥞😊 It was a very welcome surprise during a particularly cold week ❄️🧣, and the boys were absolutely delighted. A perfect start to 2026, bringing smiles, warmth, and a bit of extra cheer to the school day 🎉✨ A big thank you to Ms. Karen O’Regan for such a thoughtful and much-appreciated treat 💛
🎶 Exploring Sounds and Music in Junior Infants 🎵 Our Junior Infants had great fun visiting the school music room this week! 😄 The children loved exploring the space, discovering different sounds, and trying out a variety of instruments 🥁🎶 There was lots of smiling, listening, and music-making as they played together and enjoyed the experience 🤝🎵 It was lovely to see their confidence growing as they experimented and shared ideas 🌟 We are very lucky to have a dedicated music room in our school, and our Junior Infants certainly made the most of it! 🎶 We’re already looking forward to many more happy music sessions 🎉🎵
📣🎉 We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud of Ms Kathryn O’Shea and her project team, who were awarded the Primary Science Fair plaque at the RDS today 🏆🔬 🇮🇪✨ What a truly fantastic day we had in the RDS Dublin Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, celebrating their amazing achievement and making lots of wonderful memories together 💛📸 👏🎒 Ms O’Shea and her project team were accompanied by Mrs Norma Harte and Ms Orla O’Keeffe. The boys were exceptional ambassadors for our school — we couldn’t be prouder of them ⭐👏 🍦🍬😄 And, as always, the highlight of the day was stopping off for treats on the journey!
Young Scientist – A First for Scoil na mBuachaillí! 🧪✨ Tomorrow, Scoil na mBuachaillí makes history 🎉 as we travel to the RDS, Dublin to present our first-ever project at the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition Primary Science Fair 🇮🇪. The boys will showcase “Life Is Better with Chickens” 🐔 — a project that began with the question “Do chickens add to the wellbeing of our school?” and evolved following overwhelmingly positive research findings 📊. The pupils showed outstanding commitment 💪, carrying out parent, pupil, and student surveys, analysing data, and creating presentations, videos, artwork 🎨, and detailed models of the chicken coop 🏠🐓 for their exhibition display. A huge achievement for our school 🏆 and a proud moment for our whole community ❤️. Best of luck to the boys 🍀, and sincere thanks to Ms. Kathryn O’Shea 👏 for her dedication and leadership throughout the project! Clonakilty Notice Board I Love Clonakilty
⚽️Scoil na mBuachaillí was delighted to take part in the very first Primary Cork Cups Soccer Competition, proudly representing our school at primary level. It provided a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to demonstrate their skills, cooperation, and love of sport against schools from across the county. 🥅In Round 1, we secured a 6–2 win over Scoil Eoin, Ballincollig. The game was lively and competitive, with both teams displaying strong play, and our boys did the school proud through their commitment and fair play. Today, we competed in Round 2 against Holy Well NS in Carrigaline. Holy Well proved the stronger side on the day in a match played with great respect and sportsmanship. Our players showed resilience, positivity, and teamwork throughout the contest. Congratulations once again to the team on their efforts during the competition — you have represented Scoil na mBuachaillí with pride both on and off the pitch.
Clonakilty GAA, LGFA and Camogie Clubs are participating in this year's Ireland Lights Up Challenge for the 4th consecutive year. This walking initiative runs every Wednesday night for 6 weeks beginning this Wednesday, the 7th. We want to invite all members of the local and school communities to join us so we can light up the dark Winter nights. It gives the community the chance to walk safely under floodlights around the walking track at the GAA grounds. Participation is free and suitable for all ages. Tea and coffee are provided in the club complex afterwards. Registration is at 7:15 pm in reception, with the walk beginning at 7:30 pm. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Well done Olan 🥰🙏
